Double whammy from 432! Thrashers game!

Everyone is thinking it so let me say it: The hair. Wow. Is this a mullet sighting? Maybe I should start a blog dedicated to mullets of the Verizon! In all seriousness this is 25% of the ice being take up, how rude. I'm not sure is this is a lady or a man, so for my own enjoyment I'm assuming it's a man. No clue what he wearing so I can't get all up in arms about no red, but I'd like to imagine they're wearing acid wash jeans and jean jacket with a White Snake T underneath. He probably borrowed it from Varly, who most of you know has an affinity for horrible clothing from the 80s.

So close to a net blocking lean, but lets be honest, this is just about as worse because I'm guessing 25% of the shots come from right around there. Luckily for Dave nothing happened at this end of the ice, it doesn't excuse the leaning though. He appears to be wearing red, but the odd haircut cancels out any good karma from the proper color wearing.

Thanks to Jenn sending this one in, I'm beginning to think 421 is leaner central!

My first problem with this guy is he let his kid block the view a lot. Though his kid was pretty well behaved for their age. I believe he wore a little red, at the very least his kid had a little jersey, so cute! All this doesn't excuse his leaning. He's covering an extensive part of the ice with his kopf, again, no net blocking, but this end of the ice is where all the action happened! Not cool mister well-behaved-child man.

Clueless and Leaning in the Verizon; Thrashers game 4/1 Section 221

This lady was a double whammy, she leaned and she asked questions all night! I don't remember what questions she asked, but I'm sure they were stupid, like her stupid leaning head. She didn't block the net, but a lot of important stuff happens right there! Luckily there wasn't any goals down this end, but I missed some opportunities! Also note her complete lack of red. He seat mate didn't have red either, good on her for giving it a try, but at least try to look the part and put on some red!

Senators game, 3/30 Section 421

Another goal blocker! Although to be fair, at least this one appears to be wearing red; though that doesn't excuse what is obviously an egregious case of the leaners. This was taken by Jenn, right when Ottawa scored. Thanks Jenn!

Senators game, 3/30 Section 427

Wow, this is pretty bad. I haven't done any proper calculations, but that's about 3/16 of the playing surface taken up by the lady's noggin. On the bright side Barb, who sent this one in, says the leaner caused her to miss the first Sens goal. I mean who cares about opposition goals, right Verizon Center crowd? I can't see what she's wearing, but it doesn't look red to me, booo!

Leaner number two, Why Backstrom, why?

I have to admit I'm very distressed that another fellow Backstromer is also a leaner. If you're smart enough to go Backstom you should be smart enough to lean the heck back. This lurker was in 228 and I told him early on to quit flipping leaning, but to no avail. He wasn't blocking the net like the last dolt, but I do remember missing some important stuff. Shame on you Backstrom shirt guy!

We here at VC leaners are equal opportunity, we hate all leaners. Our first leaner was in section 229 and was sent in by Pensareyourdaddy. That's right, a pens fan. Either way look at this guy blocking the most important part of the game with his noggin. Props for the Backstrom jersey, but negative props for leaning. Sit back, relax. You'll be okay.
